SUSTAINABILITY

Why we choose FDM and PLA

At 3D-atelier.be we are committed to sustainable innovation. We specialise exclusively in FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printing, because it's currently the most ecologically responsible method in the industry.
Unlike other 3D printing technologies that use liquid resins or fine powders, FDM uses solid filaments. This process is significantly cleaner, produces fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and allows us to work with biodegradable or recycled materials, such as PLA (derived from corn starch).

PLA — our standard

Compostable under industrial conditions, lower ecological footprint. Ideal for indoor parts, prototypes and decorative pieces.

PETG · ABS · ASA — on request

For projects requiring higher durability. More load-bearing, but a higher ecological footprint.
“3D printing on demand also means: no overproduction, no stock collecting dust.”
Sustainable choices don't have to be complicated.
Tell us about your project and we'll help you choose the most responsible material.
